چکیده
In the current microwelding process using femtosecond (fs) laser between dissimilar materials, surface polishing and pressure assistance, so-called optical contact, are believed necessary. this paper, direct welding of soda lime glass Kovar alloy a fs is investigated to overcome limit contact. The processing comprehensively studied by varying power, velocity number welding. shear joining strength as high 2 MPa. cross-section glass-Kovar joints, elemental diffusion fracture behavior welded joints were studied. results show that irradiates alloy, micron/nanometer-sized metal particles generated. These perform role an adhesive part in process. It Si atoms diffuses from partially replaces Fe2+ ions on indicating mixing interdiffusion materials have occurred during Finally, sample was tested has excellent water resistance sealing property. Furthermore, justify method can be applied other stack ups, glass-copper, glass-Al6063 sapphire-ceramic also together. This work greatly simplifies promotes its industrial applications, such optoelectronic devices, medical devices MEMS.

High speed, high strength microwelding of Si/glass using ps-laser pulses.
A novel microwelding procedure to join Si-to-glass using ps-laser pulses with high repetition rates is presented. The procedure provides weld joint with mechanical strength as high as 85 MPa and 45 MPa in sample pairs of Si/aluminosilicate (Si/SW-Y) and Si/borosilicate (Si/Borofloat 33), respectively, which are higher than anodic bonding, at high spatial resolution (< 20 µm) and very high throu...
متن کاملToward nano- and microprocessing in glass with femtosecond laser pulses
In this paper, we report on the refractive index changes and vacancies that are induced in silica glass by the irradiation of ultrashort laser pulses. We fabricated waveguides, couplers, and gratings by the filamentation of femtosecond laser pulses. We demonstrate the formation and the movement of sub-micrometer or nanometer vacancies, called voids. We show the formation of three-dimensional sh...
متن کاملFemtosecond laser-induced microwelding of silver and copper.
Femtosecond (fs) laser irradiation has been shown to be effective for welding transparent materials and for transparent materials to metals. However, to date there is little work regarding similar applications in welding/bonding of metals. In this article, we for the first time to the best of our knowledge report on fs laser-induced microwelding of Ag microwires and Cu substrates. The influence...
متن کاملFemtosecond fiber laser welding of dissimilar metals.
In this paper, welding of dissimilar metals was demonstrated for the first time, to the best of our knowledge, by using a high-energy high-repetition-rate femtosecond fiber laser. Metallurgical and mechanical properties were investigated and analyzed under various processing parameters (pulse energy, repetition rate, and welding speed). Results showed that the formation of intermetallic brittle...
متن کاملOptical control of field-emission sites by femtosecond laser pulses.
We have investigated field-emission patterns from a clean tungsten tip apex induced by femtosecond laser pulses. Strongly asymmetric modulations of the field-emission intensity distributions are observed depending on the polarization of the light and the laser incidence direction relative to the azimuthal orientation of tip apex. In effect, we have realized an ultrafast pulsed field-emission so...
